Postpone NEET and JEE

We all know that due to Covid-19 exams were been regularly postponed but now SC ( Supreme Court ) has given judgment that JEE will be conducted between 1 to 6 September and NEET on 13 September

What is more important.. Exam, career Or life ? most of the people will say life because we know if life will be their we can give exams afterwards also but our Supreme Court think that exam is more important than life. This year JEE ( India's biggest engineering exam ) has more than 11 lakh candidates and NEET ( India's biggest medical exam ) has more than 17 lakhs candidates.

Many students and their parents requested government to postpone NEET and JEE but they didn't listen to them so they filed a PIL ( Public Interest litigation ) in Supreme Court but Supreme Court gave it's judgment in less than 5 minutes that exams will be conducted.

Through video conferencing Justice Arun Mishra said that life has to go on, life has to go ahead so exams will be conducted which is a very bad and risky decision.

Reasons why it is risky and exam should be postponed -:

1. Covid-19:

We know that India has become 3rd worst country in the case of Covid-19 and daily 60,000+ Covid infected patients are found. Just think what will happen when this much, large amount of people will gather at one place. Best example for this is U. S l, when schools were reopened their, 97,000+ students were found to be infected by this Covid-19.
.
Many people will argue that this Covid-19 is not dangerous for student and for young people which is correct but think of those students who have dieses like asthmas and pneumonia. Are they also safe from Covid-19??? Later on when these students will return back to their home after giving exam they will infect their family member and most of the Indian student live in big family or joint family in which their grandparents are also their and for them it is very risky. Due to this students will become asymptomatic carriers and will risk their family member’s life.

Taking care of these things many families will not allow their children to give exam and this will be a disadvantage for these students. On the other hand student who belongs to lower class family will be forcefully sent to give exam as it is an opportunity for them to uplift their family and thus will risk their lives.

Now some people will say don't worry SOP will be followed everywhere, proper sanitization will done everywhere, social distancing will be maintained, proper sanitization will be done. For them, here are some pictures of COMEDK exam held in karnataka -:

here are some picture of comedk.

Number of candidate appeared in this exam was 70,000+ and this was the situation so think about the exam which has 11 lakh+ and 17 lakh+ candidates. It will be impossible to follow those SOPs. This type of situation was seen wherever exams were been conducted in last few days. .

2. Flood in Bihar and Assam:

Covid-19 is not only the reason due to which exams should be postponed. The flood affected areas in Assam and Bihar, the houses of these region is filled with water. In this type of situation how will a student study and will travel for his/her exam centre.

3. Transportation:

How will a candidate travel to their exam centre ? Regular passenger train are suspended, due to flood, many roads are blocked and also due to landslides lands are closed. In this situation how will student go to their exam centre which is 200-300km away from their home and if roads are not closed how will a candidate will reach to his her exam centre who belong to poor family from where will they bring money to reserve a vehicle for them to reach their centre.

In countries like USA and Germany, government has decided to conduct region by region by seeing which region is safe to conduct exam and this authority is given on regional basis because in some regions their are more cases and in some region situation is in control.

This hastag trends on Twitter with over 3 Million tweet in order to wake up the government. Though Supreme Court has given it's judgment but still it is in hands of government. What are your views about this. Exam should be conducted or not ??
