Dhoni and Raina

If cricket is religion then they are god , if cricket is kingdom they are king yes I am talking about MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina true friends and amazing cricket players better known as Jai and Veeru by their fans not just because of partnerships on field ,but also strong bond of friendship they two have developed off the field

Although Raina made his debut one year after Dhoni appeared in international cricket team of Indian under the captaincy of Rahul Dravin but when Dhoni got captaincy of Indian cricket team in 2007 Raina emerged as match-wining player under guidance of dhoni.Dhoni has faith on him every situations and as soon as Dhoni became caption of Indian team he started making mile stones like wining T20 world cup in 2007 and then getting first rank in international test ranking for first time in history of Indian cricket team.
Their was a time in cricket when this pair of lions were nightmare for bowlers because left right combination with mutual understanding of running between wickets was able to destroy any bawling attack as Their friendship was developing stronger day by day and that became topic of gossips on tea stall, among fans when they started playing IPL in color of CSK. Both were part of the Chennai-based franchise since 2008,while sharing two seasons apart due to the match-fixing scandal(2015,2016).

In the earlier years of T20 most of the caption use to attack with pacers while fielding but dhoni had different mindset he always trusted on all players of team he that was the main key of his success as a caption during the first three seasons of the IPL, CSK roughly bowled nine balls of spin in the death overs (17 to 20) every innings. And Raina was among the options, along with R Ashwin and Muttiah Muralitharan, that Dhoni used even while he was just a part-time bowler. In fact, Raina picked 14 wickets in the period at 26.57.
Dhoni trust on Raina very much and as a good friend Raina never disappointed him an incident I missed now Raina's best performance as a death-over bowler came in the Champions League T20 match against Victoria in 2010 when he picked two wickets in the 18^th over and two more at the start of the 20^th before combining with Dhoni to complete a last-ball run-out to enforce a Super Over. india had eventually fallen short in the tie-breaker, nevertheless, it was a victory for India in its own manner .
not only in T20 but also in different format of cricket Dhoni is known for his unbelievable decisions and he proved his decisions right maximum times.
As one of his remarkable decisions which is coming in my mind that he took on 2^nd April 2011 in final of world cup .he came for batting at number 4 instead of waiting for his number 7 and rest is history every true Indian cricket fan know that his decision was right and India won the world cup after 28 years But as we know leader becomes best leader just not because of his decision making skills he became best because of trust which his team members show on him and he also trust on his team no doubt dhoni was blessed by such team members .

Now we all know that one by one our childhood heroes are becoming old and getting retired from Indian cricket team Youvraj Singh ,Zahirkhan ,Virendra saghawag now MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina yes this heart braking news came on 15^th august 2020 MS Dhoni allownsed his ratierment from international cricket and following his true captain Raina also declared his retirement by Instagram post "It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781 . With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind! (sic)", he wrote. In a celebrated career, the 33-year-old played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is for India, and was known for his friendship with Dhoni.
Raina played last match for India in an ODI match against England in July 2018 and Dhoni played for india semi-final(ODI) loss to New Zealand in 2019.
